1. History:

• Iğdır University Health Institutions Management Program was established to meet the increasing need for management and administration in the healthcare sector.
• The program started its education in 2017 with the aim of training qualified workforce in the management areas of the healthcare sector.
• The program offers both theoretical and practical training to ensure that students gain competence in healthcare services and healthcare institutions management.

2. Department Program Outcomes:

• Mastering the management, organization, and supervision processes of healthcare institutions.
• Possessing knowledge of healthcare-specific law, finance, and human resources management.
• The ability to develop efficiency-enhancing solutions in the delivery of healthcare services.
• The ability to implement management processes in accordance with ethical principles in patient and healthcare worker relationships.
• The ability to utilize information systems and technologies in the healthcare sector.
• Developing communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.

3. Education Language / Type:

• Language of instruction: Turkish.
• Program type: Associate Degree (2-year).
• In addition to theoretical courses, the program offers elective internships in healthcare institutions and a 3+1 practical training opportunity.

• Course Contents / Course Catalog

Double Major Program: This program offers students the opportunity to earn a degree in another department of their interest, in addition to their primary department. In this program, students can complete the courses of two different departments and obtain diplomas in both fields.

Minor Program: This program allows students to take a certain number of courses in another field of interest, in addition to their main department. Students who complete the minor program are awarded an official certificate in that field; however, this does not constitute a second bachelor's degree.
